Danielle Bernard Metz — Presidential Clemency (Obama Administration)

WGM represented Danielle Bernard Metz in connection with her successful clemency petition. On August 30, 2016, President Barack Obama granted Ms. Metz a commutation of sentence, with her prison term commuted to expire December 28, 2016 (U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Public Affairs clemency release).

Ms. Metz’s case has since been featured publicly as part of the broader national conversation about clemency and second chances.

Gerard Anthony Greenfield — Presidential Clemency (Clinton Administration)

WGM represented Gerard Anthony Greenfield in connection with his successful clemency petition. President William J. Clinton granted Mr. Greenfield a commutation of sentence. Mr. Greenfield’s case arose in Utah (sentenced September 9, 1993) for possession of phencyclidine (PCP) with intent to distribute (21 U.S.C. § 841(a)), and his 192-month federal prison sentence was commuted to expire immediately, conditioned on drug testing during his period of supervised release.

Cory Hollis Stringfellow — Presidential Clemency (Clinton Administration)

WGM represented Cory Hollis Stringfellow in connection with his successful clemency petition. President William J. Clinton granted Mr. Stringfellow a commutation of sentence, causing his 188-month prison sentence on the LSD conspiracy count to expire immediately, conditioned on supervised release (including drug testing), while leaving intact a consecutive four-month prison sentence imposed for false statements in a passport application.
